Dave’s Rants has been around in various forms for years and years and years. I remember making my first HTML page even before I had access to the Internet.

I’ve had my own domain name for about two years now and have blogged on and off during this time. 99.999% of what I write is pure rubbish, but hopefully I’ll manage to reduce that crappy percentage.

I was born in Cork, Ireland sometime on May 18th 1983, since then I’ve gone to primary school, gone to secondary school, gone to University and not much else.

Well I exaggerating but there’s no point in boring you with all the in between details, that’s what this blog is for!!

• I have a degree in Microelectronic Engineering from UCC
• This is the oldest reference to me/by me I can find online, but I’ve been online regularly since December 1997
• Back in 1999 the About Me page I had sucked really really badly
• The photo in the header image is of Lake Hawea in New Zealand where I spent 6 weeks in 2005
• At some stage I’ll do more to this page!
