if they can afford to run a program like this - Google Local Business Referrals. It seems to be akin to paying people to be in the Golden Pages. Madness?? Things like this make me glad I’ve shorted GOOG on my fantasy spread-betting account.

Since I came back to blogging I’ve been using Google Reader as an RSS reader. In the past I used a tool you install on your own server called ReBlog but now Google Reader has much the same functionality. One thing that was driving me nuts was that when you were using Keyboard shortcuts and wanted to use ‘v’ (i.e. open current item), it would open in a new tab but Firefox would switch to that tab. Thanks to MeFi I have the answer on how to get it to open in the background like any reasonable person would want!

I used to use jHymn ages back to do this but then Apple updated the protection to stop that program from working. Hopefully this beauty will do the trick with one click when I get home!
