Never Knowing when to shut up!
I stumbled across The Limerick Blogger earlier on this week, it’s a great site and the guys doing it are doing a fantastic job. I’ve been wanting to do something similar in Cork for a while. As it’s now abundantly clear that there are stacks of Cork Bloggers, who would like to write for The […]
Damien outlines all the Broadband choices in Ireland. It’s a fantastic guide. I quite fancy a bit of that Magnet 24 Mbps package.
You know the other day when I was voting for everyone from Cork in the blog awards, I thought we just were producing the best content
. Little did I know that our little republic was generating a sheer volume of content too. CorkBlogs aggregates Cork Bloggers. It’s bloody impressive how many of us there are.
I’m telling you the rest of the country would want to watch out for the revolution.
I saw a segment on BBC over the weekend about Business class only airlines. There are apparently two of them out there. Eos and Maxjet. It’s a facinating idea, apparently business class accounts for most of the trans-atlantic carrier’s revenue so by cutting out economy class you’re able to give a cheaper business class. So in effect on BA/Virgin or whatever, business class is subsidising economy. I defenitely never knew that!
Recently I’ve felt a bit jaded with information overload from a lot of sources, something in my make up makes me want to complete every todo list that I have, read every article I’m interested in etc..
So with the list of RSS feeds I subscribe to ever increasing I just can’t really cope anymore. Sometimes […]
A couple of months ago I mentioned I was looking for a Wiki, James linked me to pbWiki which I promptly decided to use. It’s become a site I have open the whole time over the past few months so when I saw that I could get something in return by recommending the site there was no hesitation on my part. It’s free so I recommend you go and check it out. Go on take the PBwiki tour!
In the past I’ve praised Meteor (my mobile network) for being cheaper than the alternatives but it was with horror I read about how they are stealing from their customers currently.
Via Donncha comes this interesting film. I must try and find time to check this out.
Update: Just watched it and thought it was great, simple idea, well executed. It’s short, check it out.
Well the nominations for the 2006 (or is it 2005) Irish Blog Awards are up and I’m honestly very shocked to be nominated for what I am nominated for. I only produce interesting content about 1% of the time but all the same cheers to anyone who nominated me. It’s very much appreciated. Anyway at […]
I’ve mentioned Pandora in the past but long before that I used Audioscrobbler/Last.fm. Steve Krause compares the two services and reaches the the conclusion I made — that Pandora is better at plucking really obscure stuff out but Last.fm is probably more consistent at giving you things you want to hear.
