Well the nominations for the 2006 (or is it 2005) Irish Blog Awards are up and I’m honestly very shocked to be nominated for what I am nominated for. I only produce interesting content about 1% of the time but all the same cheers to anyone who nominated me. It’s very much appreciated. Anyway at the time the nominations were opened I sent in a few just to make sure they got nominated. Thankfully they made it!

• Best Blogger: Alive in Limerick - Loved this one for it’s entire existence, I even archived as much of it as I could to save it! Unfortunately it’s no more. Since Potato is still blogging he’ll probably get my vote.
• Best Photoblog: Rymus got my nomination and will get my vote. Donncha’s Inphotos should get your vote if you don’t want to vote for Ryan. And if you don’t want to vote for Cork people, well screw you then!
• Best Group Blog: TCAL got my nomination but I’m very tempted to send my vote the disillusioned lefties way. But I reckon I’ll still go with TCAL.
• Best Contribution to the Irish Bloggersphere (Tech wise): Donncha O’Caoimh gets this hands down. John Breslin has done loads for everyone and is definitely the unsung hero of Boards.ie but Donncha is one of the pivotal developers of Wordpress — the best blogging tool in the world. Hence he’s got to get the award. Oh and he’s from Cork too!
