The last time I blogged about Television it was about ‘Lost’. I found out about ‘Lost’ through Boards.ie and again this is how I heard about ‘Veronica Mars’ also. For about the past 4 months or so I’ve seen various people mention they were watching ‘Veronica Mars’ or what not. When I first heard about it I went off to check out what the hell the show was about. I soon found out it was about “a smart, fearless 17-year-old, apprentice private investigator dedicated to solving the town’s toughest mysteries….” Now that’s not exactly lining up to be the best show ever is it? So I ignored it.

Recently Joss Whedon opined on how much he loved the show and a thread started on Boards about it so this time I decided to go and download it and check it out and I’m glad I did. As has been written all over the place the closest thing ‘Veronica Mars’ compares to is ‘Buffy’ except it’s better in my opinion and disturbingly dark at times (incest, rape… pretty extreme!).

Anyway I’m really glad I checked out the show and the whole Series was pretty satisfying for reasons I can’t go into without spoiling the show I don’t know if Season 2 will be any good but Season 1 is definitely worth checking out!
