Never Knowing when to shut up!
When I first heard from my Dad last week at dinner that the publication of the Morris Tribunal report had to be brought forward due to an apparent case of ‘hacking’ I immediately decided that this wasn’t a case of real hacking rather simply somebody put up the report but didn’t link to it.
TJ McIntyre and Fergal on Sigla both came to the same conclusion and Fergal points out that not alone is it poor reporting that the media can’t distinguish what is hacking and what isn’t but that they were so spineless that they didn’t do a story on the contents ahead of it’s publication.
The thing that always strikes me on reporting of things like this where I have a bit of knowledge is that if the story is so wrong on this then maybe it’s really wrong on all the things I don’t have an in depth knowledge of.
