Dave’s Rants

So it’s quite clear at this stage that I simply don’t have the time to keep this updated even 1/10th as much as I used to. There’s no point in me promising that I’ll start doing regular posts again, because last time I promised I broke the promise.

So what have I been up to, well first of course I had to do my college exams but that was way back in April. Got the results recently and thankfully I did great! So then it was off to Limerick to start my summer co-op/internship with Analog Devices.

In Analog I’m doing Design/Design Evaluation work. Mostly I’m working on SMPS, which is reasonably challenging since I did very little on these in College. Overall I like it.

With regard to Internet stuff, Irish Rugby Now! has been taking up vast amounts of my time. I’m still looking to get the other aspects of Rugby Now! off the ground. I have a load of other weblog ideas and if there were 100 hours in a day I wouldn’t have enough time to do them all.

I did a couple of sites for other people recently too. Villa Orlando USA is a site for someone who bought a house in Orlando, and wants to use the site as advertising. I’m very happy with the site. I made it all valid HTML and valid CSS. The Florida holiday home market seems pretty packed as this Google search proves but hopefully their Florida villa site will be a success.

Also I did a bit of work advising the creator of Goddess Of Ireland but they weren’t too interested in valid HTML so it’s not!

So who knows this posting thing could become a regular occurance. Stay tuned! The Linklog is definitely back though!
