Over the past month I’ve been getting my new Irish Rugby site ready for its proper launch in about a weeks time. Of course I’ve been busy promoting it and trying to get it up on the search engine rankings.

Today I was checking and threw in “Irish Rugby News” and of course was delighted that it featured me in 3rd place. Now with such a high result I thought “Surely I’ll be number one for ‘Irish Rugby Now’”, but for that search term I don’t even register. What gives?

I’ve gone all the way to page 10 on the rankings and still can’t find the site. I’m presuming Google has marked it way down or something for over optimization or something. Well it’s annoying anyway!
