Tax Euros Well Spent?

Stumbled upon this ad on a website about Ireland. It seems the government think it’s worthwhile advertising about their EU presidency. Can’t say I agree.

Is Yahoo Biased Towards Geocities

I was reading this thread on P45 and decided to do a search on Yahoo! to see how it compares to Google in relevance. So I picked the search term I’m obsessed with “Irish Rugby News” and got the following results. As you can see, the first search term is really outdated, and the best links for the search term aren’t found until positions 6 and 10. Google does much better on this term.

Great Firefox/Mozilla/Firebird Tip

I picked up this great tip on MeFi. One of the best things about Firefox/Mozilla is the tabbed browsing but on annoying thing is if you want to click a link and have it open in the same tab as you’re currently using, if the website is using the target=”_blank” attribute the link will open in a new window.

Be My Anti-Valentine

Be My Anti-Valentine

Someone on the Irish Rugby email discussion group, posted up a link to this site and it’s brilliant. I sent one to my girlfriend already (one of the less offensive ones!) but they’re all class.

With Ireland’s Six Nations campaign about to start, and with Munster and Connacht flying high in the European competitions never has there been more demand for Irish rugby news. With this in mind, today sees the launch of Irish Rugby Now! Irish Rugby Now! is Ireland’s only rugby site dealing exclusively with all levels of Irish Rugby from Schools Rugby to Six Nations. Irish Rugby Now! aims to be the first stop on the web for any Irish Rugby Fan.

Bizarre Google Behaviour

Over the past month I’ve been getting my new Irish Rugby site ready for its proper launch in about a weeks time. Of course I’ve been busy promoting it and trying to get it up on the search engine rankings.
