Guantanamo: End in Sight?

Today’s Observer, reports that apparently a deal has been reached on the return of the nine British detainees from the prison camp at Guantanamo Bay. Under the agreement, the nine British detainees will be sent back to Britain, either after pleading guilty to charges in America and being sent to serve their sentences in British prisons, or without being charged.<

K-PAX

I watched this for the first time about a week and a half ago when it came on Sky Movies. I knew it hadn’t got the best reviews when it came out, but I keep an open mind with film reviews so I sat down and watched it anyway and I was quite impressed.

Stargate SG-1 7.09 [Avenger 2.0]

Stargate - This was a good episode. As has been all to common recently they came up with a stupid reason to sideline some of the characters so they could go on holiday or what not. But anyway I liked the episode and hopefully…, any day now, we’ll get an episode that ties back into the main story arc. The Ga’ould? Anyone remember them? :)

A Lot More Travelling Needed

I’d consider myself fairly well travelled for someone my age. I’ve been to the UK a load of times, Spain, Argentina, Uruguay and the US twice. I’ve loads more things I want to see and most of them seem to be in the BBC’s 50 Places to visit before you die….

24 3.04 [4.00PM - 5.00PM]

24 - Kick-ass episode yet again. Well worth the download. The story is progressing nicely and I’m already dieing to find out what happens next week. Unfortunately I’ll be so busy with college it will be this time next week before I see it!

Why Internet Radio Rocks

Actually it doesn’t so much rock as talk! We get radio here of course but to be honest it’s pretty crap. All I ever listen to is TodayFM, and even then that consists of listening to Ian Dempsey in the morning (almost exclusively for Gift Grub) and maybe an occasional listen to The Last Word (although not so much since Eamonn Dunphy is gone). If I don’t have my iPod and I’m in the car on my own I envitably spend the whole journey either listening to an unbelievably crackly version of Radio 5 Live or searching the static in vain for an unbelievably crackly version of Radio 5 Live but now with the Internet I get to listen to crisp clear talk radio!

England Win

I really, really had hoped that this, my 200th post would be about something that would make me happy…. but it certainly isn’t. This morning England won the Rugby World Cup

Equality For Men

Why isn’t there equality for Men? Regularly in the media I see advertisments that are insulting to men, but these are allowed because ‘Men can take a joke’, but if a role reversal were to occur and Women to be put in positions that I regularly see on TV there would be uproar because it would be labeled as sexist etc…

24 3.03 [3.00PM - 4.00PM]

24 - Wow, 24 is definitely back on form, I was seriously thinking about just waiting for it to be on TV so I didn’t even burn this one to a VCD but all the same having downloaded it from SuprNova I watched it and I certainly wasn’t let down! T

Stargate SG-1 7.08 [Space Race]

Stargate - I suppose it was all right, but it really wasn’t as good as the other novelty episodes like Wormhole Xtreme. It was funny in places but when I think about it it wasn’t much funnier than a normal episode. At least it wasn’t another body swap episode though!
