Never Knowing when to shut up!
I finished reading this Michael Moore book the other day and I must say that it was far better than I had expected. My previous experience of Moore’s writing was Stupid White Men, which while I found interesting, wasn’t actually that funny. In SWM the first chapter and second chapter were great but after that it just got absurd and turned into rantings sometimes on subjects Moore doesn’t have a clue about. Anyway so while I was away in the US Dad bought Adventures in A TV Nation so when I came home I had a read of it. It’s based on the TV series of the same name and it’s fantastic. It’s really funny and not so political. Moore just gets these ideas and carries them through no matter how silly they may seem. Anyway I loved it and would recommend it to anyone.
Watched a few episodes of TV Nation on Swedish TV before and they were highly entertaining. Since then though his ego has grown and grown and he has no proper quality control of his work so a lot of the time it comes out as petty and amateur.
