As I write this Ireland have just comprehensively defeated Namibia, which was absolutely necessary to continue in the World Cup, and was expected. What I hadn’t expected was the lack lustre preformance of Brian O’Driscoll in the World Cup. He hasn’t set any games alight since the Lions Tour at this stage and that was 2 years ago now. It’s very dissapointing but at the same time we seem to have great players inside and outside of him too, and hopefully on the big days he’ll be able to step it up.
